The InnoWise Challenge Lab in Málaga, Spain, is one of the three final competitions for startups with the goal of finding innovations for water scarcity in Southern Europe. After three months of intensive training and specialized workshops from the agrifood and water industry’s finest experts, a total of ten startups will be put to the test. These companies will hear from keynote speakers, participate in a round-table on “Rethinking the Water Scarcity Innovation” and, of course, network with their peers and with the industry’s top professionals. Finally, the event will culminate in a live “pitching competition”; the startup that wins the first place will receive a 10,000€ award. Second place winner will receive a 5,000€ prize.

The workshop will address key issues for reuse, such as the regulatory framework, treatment and regeneration technologies or economic aspects. On the other hand, the tools that SUWANU EUROPE will make available to the public as the virtual teaching platform will be presented.

The event will have the presence of recognized experts and professionals in the water and agriculture sector who will share their experience in the use of reclaimed water.

Innovation workshop given by Gerardo Jiménez promoted by Jerez de la Frontera City Council. The workshop is aimed at entrepreneurs from Jerez in the agro-food sector who are interested in improving the competitiveness of their companies by promoting innovation and digitalisation in all their processes. Gerardo Jiménez is Director of Tecnalia Andalucía.
