El grupo californiano de capital riesgo SVG Partners, especializado en agritech y foodtech, y la Fundación Europea para la Innovación (INTEC) han unido fuerzas para fomentar el crecimiento de proyectos y startups del sector agroalimentario. Esta colaboración entre inversores de Sillicon Valley y Europa, así como de Israel y otros Hubs de inversión se llevará a cabo por primera vez en Europa en el tercer encuentro europeo del sector agrifood promovido por la Comisión Europea, bajo el título de Startup Europe Smart Agrifood Summit, que se celebrará en Málaga los días 24 y 25 de Septiembre en el Palacio de Ferias y Congresos.

Hoja de ruta para inversiones

Durante el Foro de inversores de Estados Unidos y Europa se establecerá una hoja de ruta de inversiones conjuntas en el sector agroalimentario, explorando áreas clave de inversión como blockchain, Internet de las Cosas, sensorización, Big Data, robótica en granjas y maquinaria autónoma, Nuevas proteínas, Bio AgTech, entre otros.

Al evento asistirán entidades de inversión privadas, incluyendo Venture Capital, Fondos de Inversión y la World Business Angels Forum, al mismo tiempo que participarán profesionales asociados con los subsectores como 300 startups europeas, aceleradoras, ciudades innovadoras, universidades europeas y emprendedores.

What is the objective?

The objective is to analyze investment opportunities in the Agrifood Europe-Silicon Valley and othes Hubs of Investors in the sector and create an alliance for investment in this ecosystem.

The objective would be to study the possibility of creating an Investment Club within the Smartagrifood Summit, which would be coordinated by the INTEC Foundation and SVG Partners.

The Investment Club would be destined to create an Investment Hub of the agri-food chain with the Deep Flow that the Smartagrifood Seed Innovation Ecosystem has developed in the world, in all the countries where satellite events have been held from the Foundation or through the entities that have collaborated with it for the participation of startups in any of the financing phases (Seed, Series A, B, C).
